For a long time they were the most trusted friends of children. Sitting quietly on the corner of a study table they weaved many a tale like none else could whenever asked to.
Then, came the computers, video games and the play station. But, books, those printed words running into pages unfolding worlds of history, myths, epics and much more, never really lost their tryst with young minds as they wooed them back time and again whenever naysayers predicted the death of reading.
With the sun blazing away, baking the city like never before effectively ruling out outdoor games for the good part of the day, children have rediscovered their time tested friendship with books this summer.
